Your safety is top priority to us. Due to anesthesia guidelines, surgical patients must be at a healthy weight and in good physical health. Please refer to chart below to see if you qualify for surgery.

At A New You Plastic Surgery and Laser Center in the Chicago area, you will be scheduled for a private and thorough cosmetic surgery consultation. The average consultation time varies depending on the reason for the visit. First, you will meet with our Patient Care Coordinator and begin the process of identifying your concerns. This is the first step to explore your options and discuss your procedure in detail.

Shortly afterwards, you will meet with board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Rajendra Shah or Dr. Samir Shah. He will review your concerns and provide honest recommendations. If you have photos of your desired look, please bring them. Oftentimes, he will display “pre- and post-op albums”. We encourage you to ask questions during your consultation to ensure you have explored all avenues before a final decision is made. There is no set time limit for your consultation, was we want you to feel comfortable and informed.

A financial representative will review the fees and methods of payment immediately after meeting with Dr. Shah. Also, you can book a date for your procedure. The quote provided is valid for 30 days. The quote includes facility, anesthesia, surgeon’s fees, implants if applicable. Medications, pre-operative bloodwork are not included. After you have chosen your procedure date, a $500 deposit is required. The deposit is nonrefundable unless there is a valid medical reason. The remaining balance is due at the preoperative visit, usually two weeks prior to the surgery.

At your pre-operative visit, Dr. Shah will meet you again to review the procedure and answer questions. Dr. Shah wants to ensure you have a smooth and successful journey, and is available to you even after your consultation.

We are currently offering complimentary virtual consultations for our patients that are not ready to get back to in-person visits. For our patients that are ready to get back out there, we do offer in-person surgical consultations for $75. We also offer in-person non-surgical consultations for $25.

In order to secure an appointment with Dr. Shah, we will ask a credit card to be on file. If we are unable to secure a credit card, your appointment may be cancelled.

We understand situations occur which may require you to change your appointment. However, we require minimum 24 hours’ notice to cancel and/or reschedule appointments. Your credit card will be charged $75 if you “no show” for your appointment.
